Tinners 5 pc Stake Set: Small Bick, Rasing Iron, 2" Mushroom (MU2), Dome, Double Bick.. (No Holder))
The 5 pc set consists of a Dixon Style Tools: T Stake Raising Iron, Double Bick Iron, 2” Domed Ball Mushroom Stake, 3 1/2” Low-dome Mushroom Stake, and the small Bick Iron stake.
T Stake Raising Iron: One end of the forming stake is undercut and the other is rolled, offering versatility for forming vessels and large jewelry pieces such as bracelets. During forming, the stake supports the metal while it is worked directly with a hammer. By working on different areas of the stake, you determine the shape and dimension of the metal form delivering an excellent curve for forming and planishing large pendants and other designs in repousse, raising, armor, and other artistic applications.
The bick iron is about 1 3/8" wide and 11 1/2" across the length of the forming surface and stands about 6" above the tool holder. The anvil face (flat forming surface) is 2 3/4" long.
The double horn bick is about 1 1/4" wide and 8" across the length of the forming surface and stands about 7" above our tool holder.
All tools fit in our Dixon style holder (sold separately) which is a replica of an old version of the Dixon Stake Holder Plate. I offer these in a standard cast finish and some are polished as shown in the photos. All the tools shown have a tapered post to fit into the hardy hole of an anvil or a stake plate Not included.
These castings have been produced for many years and have proven to be very reliable and useful.
